Despite unrelenting claims and assertions from him and his allies and insiders, Donald Trump simply is not handling the recent turn of events in his life very well at all. In fact, he’s handling it badly. Very… very badly.
Since the moment news broke of the FBI search and seizure raid at his Mar-a-Lago estate, the ex-president and his “people” have not stopped publicly harping about the “politically motivated witch hunt” that’s been lodged against him — the same descriptors he uses for anything else that attempts to hold him accountable for his crimes, including but not limited to the Mueller investigation, the Manhattan District Attorney’s investigation, Attorney General Letitia James’ investigation, and the January 6th House Select Committee’s investigation. They continue to assert that the scandal-ridden former president won’t see any real trouble from it all because, of course, he’s simply done nothing wrong.
At the end of the day, though, even Trump himself doesn’t believe his own claims.
Just yesterday, we reported on Maggie Haberman’s revelations that, behind closed doors, Trump isn’t handling things well lately, and “has betrayed anxiety in private conversations about where this is all leading,” according to sources who spoke with Haberman. But frankly, if you look closely, Trump’s panic isn’t entirely private.

The scandal-ridden former president wasted absolutely no time this morning in taking to his floundering Truth Social platform, where he proceeded to go on one of his most unhinged, multi-post rants on the topic yet — ultimately only serving to make himself look guilter than ever, and inadvertently put his fear and panic on full display, for all the world to see.
“Even though I am as innocent as a person can be, and despite MY campaign being spied on by the Radical Left, the FISA COURT being lied to and defrauded, all of the many Hoaxes and Scams that were illegally placed on me by very sick & demented people, and without even mentioning the many crimes of Joe and Hunter Biden, all revealed in great detail in the Laptop From Hell, it looks more and more like the Fake News Media is pushing hard for the Sleaze to do something that should not be done!” Trump began on Truth Social this morning.
But it didn’t stop there. In fact, he was just getting started.
In a follow-up “Truth,” Trump raged, “Joe Biden said he knew nothing about the Break-In of Mar-a-Lago or, the greatest political attack in the history of the U.S. Does anybody really believe this???”
And then came another, “The Radical Left Democrat prosecutors are illegally trying to circumvent, for purely political gain, the Presidential Record’s Act, under which I have done absolutely nothing wrong. It can not be circumvented, for me or any other President. They illegally Raided my home, and took things that should not have been taken. They even broke into my safe, an unthinkable act!”
His anger and panic became so unhinged at one point, that he made an all-caps post that simply read, “PRESIDENTIAL RECORDS ACT!” — which, ironically enough, is one of the many laws he violated when he literally stole classified, top-secret documents from the White House.
Trump’s manically unhinged early-morning rant ultimately ended with yet another nasty public attack against the DOJ and FBI, fuming, “The Justice Department and FBI are ‘leaking’ at levels never seen before – and I did nothing wrong!!!”
The only truth here, Donald, is that the raid against your golf club was 100 percent legal and legitimate, after you stole top-secret, classified documents from the US White House and proceeded to lie to the FBI and the DOJ when they subpoenaed those documents, and you failed to turn them over in full.
You’ve been caught. Full stop.
