French President Emmanuel Macron decided to poke fun at President-Elect Donald Trump and his obnoxious handshake by pretending to use the same handshake on Poland’s Prime Minister Donald Tusk, who was seemingly in on the joke. Trump’s attempt to dominate Macron while the two attended the reopening of France’s revered Notre Dame Cathedral was widely mocked on social media as users saw the move for what it was.
For the love of handshakes…that is THE MOST PATHETIC attempt at intimidation in the history of attempted “handshake intimidation.” 🤣🤣🤣

Macron could, at times, be seen talking to Trump as he continued to grip the French president’s hand. While it’s impossible to know what the two were discussing, judging by the expressions on Macron’s face, he wasn’t a happy camper.
So Macron decided to have a little light-hearted fun at Trump’s expense, and we’re here for it. In these horrible times, we can use all the cheering up that we can get.

In the clip, we see the two smiling men greeting each other, and Macron grasps Tusk’s hand tightly as Tusk mock-punches his arm. The whole thing is wholesome and funny. The two prominent men are obviously mocking Trump in a light-hearted fashion.

“Macron was questioned about why he always gripped Trump’s hand so tightly and he said if you start to give up small things, you end up giving up larger things. Macron knows that Trump uses a handshake as a power play, and he never let Trump win that game!”

I always considered Trump a huge embarrassment. Especially because of the way he treated Germany’s then-Chancellor Angela Merkel.
There were, of course, the usual garden-variety Trump supporters. Who were perhaps dropped on their heads at birth.

How flattering!
Then there’s ChrisS318169575, who made this witty statement:
“Hahaha good, hope their countries aren’t dependent on our foreign aid. Be a shame if that payment stopped arriving. Just saying.”

It will be a challenging year for leaders like Macron, who are now forced to deal with Trump whether they like it or not.
I wonder how long it will be before Trump embarrasses this country again. It may be soon. It’s likely Macron’s mocking of him may be humiliating for him. Can a Truth Social meltdown be far away?
