Trump Is Desperately Trying To Stack The RNC With Nepotism As He Endorses His Daughter-In-Law For Co-Chair Of The Committee

He's shameless.

Donald Trump needs all the help he can get right now — as he desperately tries to keep his 2024 campaign alive while he faces down an ever-growing mountain of scandals, lawsuits, investigations, legal troubles, and attempts to have him thrown from the ballot entirely — and it’s pretty clear that he knows it.

Recent reports have indicated that the current co-chair of the Republican National Committee Rona McDaniel, who was appointed to her position in 2017, is slated to resign from her chair position at the RNC in the coming weeks, following the South Carolina Republican Primary on February 24, amid mounting scrutiny of her stewardship of the committee, as Republicans have seen numerous election losses in recent years.

The scandal-plagued former president has unsurprisingly seen McDaniel’s impending departure as a golden opportunity to harness the powers of nepotism and cram as many of his own people into the RNC as possible — including his daughter-in-law.

In a new statement, Donald Trump publicly and formally endorsed not only his daughter-in-law Lara Trump — the wife of his middle son Eric — but also his close “friend,” North Carolina Republican Party Chairman Michael Whatley as co-chairs of the Republican National Committee:

The RNC MUST be a good partner in the Presidential election. It must do the work we expect from the national Party and do it flawlessly. That means helping to ensure fair and transparent elections across the country, getting out the vote everywhere – even in parts of the country where it won’t be easy – and working with my campaign, as the Republican presumptive nominee for President, to win this election and MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

For these reasons, I think my friend Michael Whatley should be the RNC’s next leader. Michael has been with me from the beginning, has done a great job in his home state of North Carolina, and is committed to election integrity, which we must have to keep fraud out of our election so it can’t be stolen.

My very talented daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, has agreed to run as the RNC Co-Chair. Lara is an extremely talented communicator and is dedicated to all that MAGA stands for. She has told me she wants to accept this challenge and would be GREAT!”

Donald went on to confirm that it isn’t just the co-chair positions that he’s hoping to infiltrate, revealing that he has also called on his senior adviser Chris LaCivita “to assume the role of, in effect, Chief Operating Officer” of the RNC, stating that LaCivita would “manage the RNC’s day-to-day operations.”

“This group of three is highly talented, battle-tested, and smart. They have my complete and total endorsement to lead the Republican National Committee,” Trump said in his statement. “Every penny will be used properly. New Day.”

I don’t think they can save you, Donald…
