After Donald Trump tried to intimidate former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch while she was testifying in a House impeachment hearing, he took questions from reporters. Trump took that opportunity to, of course, blast the press, saying the media has low approval numbers. We weren’t aware the press had approval numbers but we know the “president” does and they are the lowest in the history of polling.
A reporter did ask Trump about his longtime associate Roger Stone who was just found guilty of seven different charges, including witness tampering and lying to Congress, but of course, he didn’t answer that question before walking off.
But, before that, April Ryan, a White House correspondent, tried to ask the “president” a question and instead of answering, he repeatedly told her to be “quiet.”

The former reality show star also tried to justify his tweets this morning attacking Yovanovitch that some say constitute witness tampering by saying he’s “allowed to speak up.”
“In the history of our country, there has never been a disgrace like what’s going on right now,” he insisted like a big man-baby.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) gave Yovanovitch a chance to respond to Trump after he paused her revealing testimony to read Trump’s tweet.
“It’s very intimidating,” Yovanovitch said. “I can’t speak to what the president is trying to do, but I think the effect is to be intimidating.”
Trump’s very bizarre decision to tweet about Yovanovitch while she was testifying is par for the course for this “president” who cannot handle any sort of criticism at all, so he lashes out on his Twitter account. However, he just made it more difficult for Republicans to defend him.
Trump is notorious for lashing out at people of color, so hushing April Ryan wasn’t exactly a jaw-dropping moment. We expect Trump to act like a massive asshole because that’s just who he is. We realize Trump is having a bad day, but it doesn’t make him look less guilty when he throws a temper-tantrum.
April Ryan was just doing her job, Mr. President, Sir.
