Republican Senator John McCain’s widow spoke at the Democratic National Convention on Tuesday on behalf of presidential candidate Joe Biden, a reminder of her late husband’s bitter relationship with Donald Trump. And Trump’s ongoing feud with McCain has continued even after the Arizona Republican’s death. On Thursday morning, Trump trotted out an interview with failed vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin with Tucker Carlson to bash McCain.
Palin was talking about Republican strategist Steve Schmidt who has been a fierce Trump critic. Schmidt worked on McCain’s campaign, and Palin feels there was some sort of sabotage at play; however, she did not say that the late Republican Senator was a “lousy candidate” as Trump claims in his fake news tweet.
Sarah is correct. McCain was a lousy candidate with lots of bad policy, but the “deadheads” sabotaged his campaign from the inside, and never gave him a chance to win. Hope they were happy with OBiden, who gave you me! https://t.co/rynLuGRKHA

What a ghoulish and petty president. It’s almost as if Trump is proving Obama’s point last night as he outlined why the former reality show star is not fit for the job.
