Donald Trump has been known to watch a lot of Fox News and to take to social media to express his opinions about what he’s watching.

He did that again on Tuesday, taking a shot at Jessica Tarlov, the “liberal” cohost of The Five.

“I can’t stand Jessica Tarlov of THE FIVE. A real loser!!!,” Trump declared on Truth Social.

The post about Tarlov came after a segment on her show, in which she discussed the deadly mass shooting this week in New York, and made some comments about gun policy.

“How did he get a concealed carry license even in Nevada? How are these things happening? And I don’t think that it hurts the conversation or takes us backward at all to consider how we might prevent one of these things from happening,” Tarlov said on the show, after noting that she knows people who know two of the victims who died in the shooting.

“You will never be able to stop all of the lunatics. But if you stopped this one, we’d have four people that were alive today who certainly deserve to, and I don’t see why that’s a bad thing to do that.” She also praised the performance of New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch, and critized people on social media for speculating, falsely, that the shooter was Middle Eastern, when he turned out to be American-born.

Tarlov’s comments followed and referenced a call from New York Gov. Kathy Hochul to reinstate an assault weapons ban in New York, in the wake of the shooting.

“New York has some of the strongest gun laws in the nation. We banned assault weapons. We strengthened our Red Flag Law. We closed dangerous loopholes. But our laws only go so far when an AR-15 can be obtained in a state with weak gun laws and brought into New York to commit mass murder,” the governor said.

“The time to act is now. The American people are tired of thoughts and prayers. They deserve action. Congress must summon the courage to stand up to the gun lobby and finally pass a national assault weapons ban before more innocent lives are stolen.”
