The Grammy Awards, held Sunday night in Los Angeles, included a lot of political talk from the stage, including direct denunciations of ICE by both Bad Bunny and Billie Eilish, after they won major awards.
The host of the show, former Daily Show host Trevor Noah, also made lots of Trump jokes, including about his past friendship with Jeffrey Epstein.
And Trump is very unhappy with those jokes.
“The Grammy Awards are the WORST, virtually unwatchable! CBS is lucky not to have this garbage litter their airwaves any longer. The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is almost as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards,” Trump wrote on Truth Social, seemingly unaware that Kimmel has not hosted the Oscars in a couple of years.

“Noah said, INCORRECTLY about me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island, nor anywhere close, and until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News Media. Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight, and get them straight fast. It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, talentless, dope of an M.C., and suing him for plenty$.”
Trump, for all of his contempt for Hollywood, seems to have watched the Grammys and also to be aware of such inside-baseball topics as what network it is set to air on, this year and in future years.
The president is threatening to sue Trevor Noah over a joke.
Seems like the comedy podcasters who backed Trump out of concerns about free speech threats to their industry may have missed the target slightly. #LegalizeComedy pic.twitter.com/ovgknmQvkA

Meanwhile, he’s very much going against the ethos of the people in the world of comedy, many of whom supported him, who have spent years arguing that no comedian should ever be punished for a joke.
Also on Truth Social Monday, amid seemingly unlimited ads for the return of former FBI official Dan Bongino’s Rumble show, Trump praised his former adviser Steve Bannon, describing him and Peter Navarro as “two very good guys who were treated so unfairly by Sleepy Joe Biden. But now, they are bigger than ever!!!”
Bannon, of course, is all over the Epstein files, having conducted a long interview with Epstein and exchanged numerous emails with him.
