A new tranche of Epstein Files material was released on Tuesday, and the files include some pretty damning materials for Donald Trump, even if they fall short of smoking-gun proof of a connection to Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes.
The new cache of files includes one very curious letter, per CNN: One purportedly written by Epstein, and addressed to Larry Nassar, the doctor who was convicted of abusing countless women, including members of the Olympic gymnastics team. The letter both references Trump’s proclivities with “young, nubile girls” and indicates that Epstein would have died by suicide by the time Nassar received the letter, although CNN reported that the letter was returned to the sender and never reached Nassar, who is serving a 60-year prison sentence.
“Dear L.N.,” the letter reads, “As you know by now, I have taken the ‘short route’ home. Good luck! We shared one thing … our love and caring for young ladies and the hope they’d reach their full potential. Our President also shares our love of young, nubile girls.”

The letter was sent around the time of Epstein’s death, and would seem to undercut conspiracy theories that he died of a method other than suicide.
However, some skepticism has been raised about the authenticity of the Nassar letter, which is in the files, but which Julie K. Brown, a leading reporter on the Epstein story, suggests might not really be in Epstein’s handwriting.
“This is suspect to me, largely because Jeffrey Epstein didn’t know how to spell. It doesn’t seem to fit with the way he wrote, either,” Brown wrote on X. “Plus, it really looks like a woman’s handwriting.”
Brown,, who broke many of the Epstein stories, wrote Tuesday that “the files also include tips that the FBI and Justice Department received about possible wrongdoing by Donald Trump, and other Epstein associates. One of the DOJ emails references a photo of Trump with Ghislaine Maxwell that was found on a cell phone belonging to Republican political strategist Steve Bannon. The photo itself is blacked out, and it is not clear when it was taken,” Brown wrote in her story about the new files, the largest cache released to date.
Also on Tuesday, the Department of Justice sent a highly irregular social media post that seemed like it might have come from Donald Trump’s personal attorneys.”
The Department of Justice has officially released nearly 30,000 more pages of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.

“Some of these documents contain untrue and sensationalist claims made against President Trump that were submitted to the FBI right before the 2020 election,” the message said. “To be clear: the claims are unfounded and false, and if they had a shred of credibility, they certainly would have been weaponized against President Trump already.”
