The shifting allegiances surrounding Donald Trump have become glaringly obvious, leaving many to wonder how and when some began to support him. Just this Monday, former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-Hawaii) was seen cross-promoting a TikTok video with X (formerly known as Twitter) that featured Donald Trump personally accepting her endorsement.

Various comments to the Tweet revealed a few things, for one:

Another referred to when her leaving the Democratic Party and became MAGAT.

And yet another one was a reminder when she was on the right side of history:

Here is video where she makes her endorsement official.

This shift from anti- to pro-Trump has become a bizarre phenomenon ever since Trump entered the political arena. Take, for example, JD Vance, who was once openly critical of Trump but later embraced him fully and became his running mate for the 2024 election.

Similarly, during Trump’s presidency, Antony Scaramucci briefly served as press secretaryā€”a stark contrast to his prior opposition to Trump.

More recently, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a member of the storied Kennedy family, initially ran as an independent against both Democrats and Trumpā€™s MAGA-aligned GOP. However, after suspending his campaign, he ultimately aligned with Trump.

In fact, the Trump campaign recently announced that both RFK Jr. and Gabbard would be joining his transition team.

What drives these conversions remains unclear, though it appears to involve a strange ideological shift, almost as if dormant loyalties are suddenly awakened. With MAGAā€™s ideology steeped in conspiracy theories and misinformation, these figures seem to become political operatives, working to disrupt the very parties and constituencies they once represented.
