Another baseless attack...

Donald Trump has once again taken to Truth Social, posting a video that targets Kamala Harris, Joe Biden, and the Democratic Party. The video features a rude parody of an Alanis Morissette song with offensive and confusing lyrics. It’s surprising that Trump thinks this will help him win votes.

The song mocks President Biden, calling him “The old man, dementia state,” and claims he’s unfit to lead. But when Trump attacks Biden’s age and health, it feels like he’s just trying too hard. Trump has made strange comments too, like suggesting people inject disinfectant to fight COVID-19. It’s ironic that Trump is quick to point out Biden’s flaws while ignoring his own mistakes. Both have made questionable choices, but Trump’s attacks seem more like a distraction from his own issues.

The most shocking part of the video is when it says, “It’s like jail, full of black inmates, no free ride, she will incarcerate,” while showing Kamala Harris’s image next to some inmates. This line is clearly racist, suggesting that Harris will unfairly imprison people of color because of her law enforcement background. It’s also crude and offensive, implying that Kamala Harris “slept her way to the top” and will unjustly target minorities. This shows just how low Trump’s campaign will go to attack his opponents. Such words spread harmful ideas and increase division, marking a new low in politics. According to a post by @NashIsHere4It, Trump’s behavior in the video suggests he is very unwell.

The responses to Trump’s video reflect a strong backlash against its content. Emily Porter PhD called the video “FUCKING VILE!” and criticized the use of a parody of an Alanis Morissette song, expressing outrage over its “sheer evilness” and demanding accountability for Trump’s actions. Meanwhile, Stefan 🥼 highlighted the offensive insinuations in the video, questioning, “Kamala ‘spent her whole life down on her knees?’ Really Republicans? That’s who you gonna vote for?” He urged voters to reconsider their choices, emphasizing the need to reflect on the harmful nature of Trump’s campaign.

Willie Ross Jr. Knee Deep said, “Yes, he’s very unwell, and so are his followers. For some reason, policy making doesn’t fit into his narrative. So, he continues to make attack ads. To support this A-whole, you’d have to be ________ (insert cuss word) crazy.”

Justice For Hedgehogs 🦔⚖️ tweeted, “He is the very worst of us. SAD & PATHETIC.”

Matthew J Carter wrote, “This is exactly how you lose an election. Trump is clearly unwell and must be held accountable. September 18 can’t come soon enough.”

If the Republican Party keeps backing these attacks, they will push more voters away. Trump’s latest post shows that the party is stuck in the past and is using old tactics that turn people off.
