President Donald Trump has never exactly been known for his fealty to spelling and grammatical rules, especially when it comes to his late-night social media rants. Spelling errors, run-on sentences, and strange punctuation are all common pitfalls of Trump’s posting style, and that’s even before accounting for factual errors and outright lies.

But it’s rare for such a post to be so typo-ridden that Trump deletes it. There was one such instance on Monday, which managed to pack multiple typos into

Per The Daily Beast, the post began with the typo “Ther are laws that effect our Nation,” both spelling “there” wrong and using “effect” rather than “affect.”

He also included what he seemed to imply was a quote from retired U.S. Navy Commander Kirk Lippold, following the USS Cole bombing in 2000, as stating that “Whoever with the intent to interfere, impair, influence the loyalty, moral or discipline of the military and Naval Forces,……to be fined or imprisoned up to 10 years.” Although the quote is actually from the U.S. Code, and it’s not clear what Lippold has to do with it.

Trump later deleted that and tried again, this time substituting “impact” for “effect,” and fixing the “there.”

Trump ended both posts with “DO WHAT HAS TO BE DONE!!!,” which implies consequences for those standing in the way of his military objectives.

This is likely a shot at the Democratic lawmakers, led by Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), who released a video last month reminding soldiers that they can reject illegal orders. The president and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth have gone on to threaten Kelly with returning him to active duty, in order to court-martial him.

Trump had said earlier that the six members of Congress who made the video were guilty of “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!”

Kelly, in a series of TV appearances, has not backed down, telling MS NOW’s Rachel Maddow that “The whole thing is almost comical… It’s absurd.”

“People listen to what he says, more so than anybody else in the country. He should be careful with his words, but I’m not going to be silenced here,” the Arizona senator added.
