The White House hallway now features a photo of Trump and Putin, placed above a picture of one of his grandchildren.

The image comes from their meeting in Alaska last August and sits in the hallway connecting the West Wing to the residence, according to White House reporter Elizabeth Landers, who shared a photo on X.

The photo was praised by Kirill Dmitriev, a top Russian negotiator. He said: “Good. A picture is worth a thousand words.”

However, many others disagreed. Senator Mark Warner called it out on social media: “Putting Putin above the American people and his own family. Almost a little too on the nose.”

Estonian politician Marko Mihkelson also reacted, warning about the Ukraine war.

Others weighed in. Some called him a Russian asset and said the display was disgusting.

The White House has changed a lot since Trump came back to office. The Palm Room was redone last month. His personal touches keep people talking.

The Alaska meeting got worldwide notice. On August 15, Putin arrived on a red carpet. Video shows the two leaders shaking hands and laughing. At one point, Putin even rode in Trump’s armored car, “The Beast,” instead of his own.
