Israel has been attacking Iran’s nuclear sites since last Thursday. And while the U.S. has not officially joined the war, President Donald Trump has been acting on social media as if it has. Including demanding Iran evacuate its capital of Tehran and appearing to refer to Israel as “we.”

“We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran. Iran had good sky trackers and other defensive equipment, and plenty of it, but it doesn’t compare to American-made, conceived, and manufactured ‘stuff.’ Nobody does it better than the good ol’ USA,” Trump said on Truth Social on Monday.

In another post, Trump appeared to threaten the life of Iran’s Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, declaring, “We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now.”

Later, Trump declared “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER!,” presumably demanding that of Iran.

This has all led to speculation that the U.S. could launch an attack on Iran’s Fordow nuclear reactor, which is built into the side of a mountain. Attacking that reactor would likely require a specific type of bunker-buster bomb that the U.S. has and Israel does not, and also would likely need to be delivered by a U.S. plane.

“The US has stepped up its military presence in the Middle East since the weekend but has left certain details vague to preserve operational ambiguity for Donald Trump as he considers whether the US will intervene in the Israel-Iran war,” The Guardian reported Tuesday.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth also announced that he has “directed the deployment of additional capabilities” to Central Command in the Middle East.

Trump also said, “I’m not looking for a ceasefire; we’re looking at better than a ceasefire,” indicating that a U.S. strike could come soon.

“Only the US is considered to have a bomb large enough – the GBU 57/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator – to possibly destroy Fordow, one of Iran’s two main uranium enrichment sites, estimated to be 80-90 metres below a mountain. The only plane certified to carry the 6-metre weapon is the B-2,” the Guardian said.
