Trump Rages On Social Media During Debate, Launches Attacks On Female Moderators

He went nuts.

Sure, Donald Trump has said meaner things to women during presidential debates.

But still, something he posted to Truth Social during the vice presidential debate on Tuesday raised some eyebrows.

Trump, on Tuesday, announced that he would be posting live commentary to the debate on his Truth Social platform. Much of that referred to Walz by the nonsensical nickname “Tampon Tim,” and had several messages in all caps.

Also, he referred to the moderators, Margaret Brennan and Norah O’Donnell, as “young ladies,” while also mysteriously capitalizing the word “Anchors,” and calling them biased.

Later in the night, Trump stated that “I thought Norah was fired from CBS for Low Ratings.” CBS announced this summer that O’Donnell would step down from anchoring CBS Evening News and take another role at the network, upon the conclusion of the presidential election. O’Donnell has not been “fired” from CBS News.

“I have spent 12 years in the anchor chair here at CBS News, connected to a daily broadcast and the rigors of a relentless news cycle. It’s time to do something different,” O’Donnell said in a statement at the time.

Trump ripped O’Donnell again at the end of the debate, declaring, “Norah just made a statement about the Election, not a question. She’s having a bad night!”

Trump, of course, famously insulted then-Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly during and after a primary debate in 2015. Kelly is now a vocal supporter of Trump- and during the debate Tuesday, even posted an angry post to X about CBS fact-checking Vance’s claim about migrants in Ohio.

Near the end of the debate, Vance was asked about January 6 and whether Donald Trump was the rightful winner of the 2020 election. Vance, on multiple occasions in the debate, tried to change the subject and otherwise refused to directly answer the question, while also praising Trump for ultimately leaving office as scheduled on January 20.

In his nightlong campaign of live posting, Trump did not address those answers on Truth Social, at least as of this writing.
