To call ex-President Donald Trump tone-deaf, specifically with regard to Vladimir Putin and his ongoing and devastating war against Ukraine, would be the understatement of the century. Frankly, the man went so far and beyond tone-deaf that it was genuinely nauseating when he referred to the Russian dictator as “genius” and “savvy” and it’s all been downhill from there, with more publicly praises for the heinous Russian president than we even really care to count.
But nevertheless, as the war continues to rage, Trump’s audacity continues to grow.
This evening, the disgraced, one-term, twice-impeached president released a new statement — that I’m only calling tone-deaf because there literally isn’t a word to describe what this really is — that left Americans seeing red.
“It doesn’t make sense that Russia and Ukraine aren’t sitting down and working out some kind of an agreement,” Trump wrote in a Save America statement released on Twitter by his spokeswoman Liz Harrington. “If they don’t do it soon, there will be nothing left but death, destruction, and carnage. This is a war that never should have happened, but it did. The solution can never be as good as it would have been before the shooting started, but there is a solution, and it should be figured out now—not later—when everyone will be DEAD!”
NEW!
President Donald J. Trump:

The response went about as well as you’d expect:
The war in Ukraine was caused more by Trump and his close relationship of appeasement with Putin than by anyone else in American politics.

It’s high time Trump kept his mouth shut. Plain and simple.
