Trump Reveals Whether He Will Pardon Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs

Donald Trump mused about an unspeakable possible pardon.

Donald Trump has pardoned or commuted the sentences of a truly wild and loathsome cast of characters, including a notorious gang leader, multiple corrupt elected officials, reality TV stars Julie and Todd Chrisley, Death Row Records co-founder Michael Harris, and more than 1,000 people convicted of crimes, many of them violent, in connection with the January 6 riot.

Now, Trump is musing about possibly pardoning an even bigger celebrity who’s accused of some terrible crimes.

Rapper and impresario Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently on trial in federal court for sex trafficking and other crimes. The trial remains ongoing, but Trump was asked on Friday about whether he would consider pardoning Combs —and he did not rule it out.

“Nobody’s asked. But I know people are thinking about it. I know they’re thinking about it. I think some people have been very close to asking,” Trump said of future pardons during his White House press conference with Elon Musk, per the New York Post.

“First of all, I’d look at what’s happening, and I haven’t been watching it too closely, although it’s certainly getting a lot of coverage,” Trump said. “I would certainly look at the facts. If I think somebody was mistreated, whether they like me or don’t like me, it wouldn’t have any impact on me.”

Even considering Trump’s past pardons, a reprieve for Diddy would be very shocking, especially considering that a large percentage of Trump’s base is obsessed with the idea of seeing sex-trafficking conspiracies everywhere. Especially by Jeffrey Epstein, a man accused of very similar crimes to Diddy.

Of course, Trump and Diddy have a history. The two were photographed together, along with Melania Trump, at a gala in 2005, where Combs was being honored. The event took place at Mar-a-Lago. This was long before Combs’ disgrace, and Trump has not been accused of having anything to do with Combs’ crimes.

During the 2024 campaign, coinciding with the initial charges against Combs, bogus photos surfaced of Diddy with Kamala Harris, seemingly tying the Democratic candidate to Combs and crimes. However, the two had no ties, except for a virtual town hall where Harris thanked Diddy for hosting during the pandemic.
