Trump Seems To Slip In Rage, Accidentally Exposes Chilling Midterm Rigging Scheme

Trump blurted out a plan to "rig" the midterm elections in 2026.

Last week, during his meeting in Alaska with Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Russian leader told Donald Trump that the 2020 election was stolen from him, thanks to mail-in ballots. In the days since, Trump appears to have taken Putin’s word for it and talked constantly about 2020 — an election that took place five years ago — and specifically about mail-in ballots.

“I am going to lead a movement to get rid of MAIL-IN BALLOTS, and also, while we’re at it, Highly ‘Inaccurate, ‘Very Expensive, and Seriously Controversial VOTING MACHINES, which cost Ten Times more than accurate and sophisticated Watermark Paper, which is faster, and leaves NO DOUBT, at the end of the evening, as to who WON, and who LOST, the Election,” Trump said on Truth Social Monday.

“We are now the only Country in the World that uses Mail-In Voting,” Trump continued. “All others gave it up because of the MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD ENCOUNTERED. WE WILL BEGIN THIS EFFORT, WHICH WILL BE STRONGLY OPPOSED BY THE DEMOCRATS BECAUSE THEY CHEAT AT LEVELS NEVER SEEN BEFORE, by signing an EXECUTIVE ORDER to help bring HONESTY to the 2026 Midterm Elections. Remember, the States are merely an ‘agent’ for the Federal Government in counting and tabulating the votes.”

Much of what Trump states in the post is not true. The Democrats did not cheat in the 2020 election. There are numerous other countries that use mail-in voting. States, for the most part, have the power to conduct elections the way they want. And his baseless rantings about voting machines came the same day that Newsmax agreed to a $67 million settlement with Dominion Voting Systems, for falsely claiming that the company’s voting machines were used to rig the election in 2020. The same company had received a $787 million settlement from Fox News.

Per The New Republic, “buried in his tirade is a clear indication of how he hopes to corrupt the 2026 midterm elections at a time when his agenda is nose-diving in polls.”

Earlier this year, Trump issued an executive order which would have “barred states from accepting ballots mailed on time but that arrive after Election Day and forced state officials to require documented proof of citizenship for everyone who registers to vote in federal elections,” although the courts have blocked it.
