Trump, 79, left the White House on Monday morning for his Virginia golf course amid speculation about his health. He walked out from the South Portico at 8:52 a.m., got into a black SUV codenamed The Beast, and drove away a minute later, wearing a white USA hat, a white shirt, and a black jacket.

Images of the president prompted widespread discussion online, with many observers noting that he appeared tired. Some speculated that he might be undergoing medical treatment, including chemotherapy.

Initially, Trump’s destination was unclear, and he traveled without his wife or children. The press later reported he arrived at his Virginia golf course around 9:25 a.m., where two supporters held pro-Trump signs. He had previously visited the same course on Saturday with two of his grandchildren.

Trump’s extended absence from public view has drawn attention. He had not left the greater Washington, D.C., area for 16 days, marking his longest period without an out-of-town trip since taking office in January.

His previous longest trip was earlier last month, between a weekend visit to Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, on August 3, and his departure for a summit in Alaska with Russian President Vladimir Putin on August 15–16.

During the early days of his second term, Trump frequently traveled on Air Force One, including multi-day visits to the United Kingdom and the Middle East, as well as routine domestic trips. He also regularly spent weekends at his golf clubs, including Bedminster, Mar-a-Lago, Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, and Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida.

In an effort to ease worries, Trump posted on Truth Social: “NEVER FELT BETTER IN MY LIFE.” But it is clear from the photos that he looks tired and worn, probably undergoing some serious medical treatment.
