Donald Trump got on Marine One on Friday, heading to the Ryder Cup golf tournament, and he was wearing some unusual shoes.

While he stopped before getting on the plane to bash James Comey, notice was paid to the president’s footwear.

Per The Daily Beast headline, Trump was wearing “All Day Comfort” shoes, although the story itself described them as “bright white kicks from golf shoe company Footjoy.” The shoes appeared to be the MyJoys Premiere Series Packard Spiked shoes.

“Truly timeless styling linking generations of players seeking to wear iconic, classic golf footwear,” the website describes the shoes as. The description also promises “An OrthoLite EcoPlush Fit-Bed to ensure all-day underfoot comfort.”

While the Beast joked that “Trump is not scheduled to compete in the Ryder Cup,” many of the social media posts referenced the shoes as Trump wearing golf shoes to a golf tournament.

The Ryder Cup is not being played at a Trump golf course, nor does he have any known direct business ties to the tournament this year. However, in a Fox News interview earlier this week, Trump claimed credit for the tournament not having been canceled. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also claimed credit for that.

“This event is one of the greatest sporting events in the world and it would not be taking place this year without President Trump’s help,” Leavitt said at the White House on Monday. “President Trump signed an executive order last week preventing a strike that would have crippled the New York City area ahead of the tournament and at the request of the five labor unions who all represent workers on the Long Island Rail Road.”
