Trump Shares An Image Of Candace Owens With A Fake ‘Vile’ Magazine Mock-Up

Allies turning into targets

Candace Owens spent years as one of Donald Trump’s most visible conservative defenders, a fixture at MAGA events and a steady amplifier of his messaging.

On Friday evening, that long alliance collided with something far less flattering. Trump posted a doctored TIME magazine cover branding her “Vile Person of the Year” and called her an extremely low IQ individual. The relationship, clearly, has shifted.

The altered cover included lines such as “Candace Owens Lies, Lies, Lies,” “Uses Rich White Men,” “0% Fact Check Ratio On All Credible Fact Checking Sites,” and “Protects Sex Offenders,” alongside a heavily edited image of Owens.

Trump’s caption followed the same tone: “Candace Owens’ stock, which was never very high, has fallen a long way. Her attack on the First Lady of France is despicable. I believe, in this case, without verification, she is an extremely Low IQ individual!”

The internet, as expected, had thoughts.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, who has recently faced her own clashes with Trump over his economic messaging, weighed in firmly on his side.

“President Trump hates women he can’t control, who don’t worship him, women who actually worship God, and are much more intelligent than he is,” she wrote. She also suggested the post carried the fingerprints of Laura Loomer. Loomer, meanwhile, praised it, calling it “more like the century.”

The France reference traces back to Owens’ conspiracy theory about Brigitte Macron, a claim that has led to a defamation lawsuit from Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron. Trump and Macron remain allies.

Earlier this month, Owens called Trump a “genocidal lunatic” and pushed for his removal via the 25th Amendment after his comments about Iran. The break has been building for some time.

The “low IQ” label has become a recurring feature of Trump’s second term vocabulary.

Just days earlier, he used it against Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. He has also applied it to Reps. Jasmine Crockett, Maxine Waters, Ilhan Omar, and New York Attorney General Letitia James.
