As if Trump weren’t already drowning in enough scandal and legal peril to last several lifetimes, new reporting from CBS News Congressional Correspondent Scott MacFarlane now confirms that the disgraced former president has been slammed with yet another brutal summons, in yet another damning legal case related to the deadly January 6th Capitol insurrection.

Trump apparently spent his Monday morning being served notice of a massive, multi-million dollar lawsuit lodged against him by the longtime girlfriend of the late Capitol police officer Brian Sicknick, who lost his life in the direct aftermath of defending the nation’s Capitol and those inside from the violent, unhinged mob of rabid Trump supporters who were attempting to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s 2020 election win, in the dishonored former president’s name.

In the lawsuit, Sicknick’s longtime partner, Sandra Garza, accuses the former president, as well as two other specific rioters, of a variety of complaints and unlawful actions, including conspiracy and even wrongful death.

The lawsuit alleges:

The horrific events of January 6 2021, including Officer Sicknick’s tragic, wrongful death, were a direct and foreseeable consequence of the defendants’ unlawful actions.”

Garza filed the lawsuit in the District of Columbia federal court just one day before the deadly insurrection’s second anniversary. She is seeking millions of dollars in damages.

MacFarlane posted a copy of the damning lawsuit to Twitter:

Americans showered Garza in support:

It’s time for Donald Trump to pay for what he’s done.
