President Joe Biden traveled to Connecticut on Friday and stopped by the Capitol Child Development Center in Hartford to speak about his Build Back Better Agenda. The President greeted several children at a playground, and everything appeared to be going smoothly until Biden was interrupted at one point by Trump supporters who were yelling profanities at him from across the street. When Hillary Clinton called Trump supporters deplorable, she was being kind. Trump appears to have emboldened the worst in our society, signaling to his supporters that it’s OK to be an awful person.
Voice of America News reporter Patsy Widakuswara tweeted out that “At one point Biden put a twisty blue tube toy on his head. As this happened, you could clearly hear Trump supporters across the street yelling “traitor” and “fuck Joe Biden.”
