A band of Trump supporters — all decked out in their very best Trump hats and shirts, wielding signs and flags and various other MAGA-supporting swag — got their feathers in quite a ruffle this week after they were forced by a police officer to leave a book signing held by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis where they appeared to be attempting to protest the up and coming Trump challenger and perceived GOP golden child.
Yesterday afternoon, the highly controversial fringe Right-wing governor attended a book signing at a Books-a-Million store in Leesburg, Florida, where a group of Donald Trump’s devout supporters gathered outside the establishment in support of the scandal-ridden ex-president, as Ron’s pressure against Trump continues to mount.
While DeSantis has yet to fully or officially commit to his potential 2024 presidential candidacy, it’s widely accepted these days that the Florida GOP governor will ultimately throw his hat into the ring, in direct opposition to Donald Trump’s third consecutive White House run, which he formally announced in November.
Popular Twitter account, Patriot Takes, took to Twitter with a clip of the confrontation between the small Trump mob and a police officer in the Books-a-Million parking lot.

In the clip, a security guard is seen telling the band of MAGAs that they have to leave the property, prompting one of the individuals to question why.
The security officer explained, “Because they told me to say anyone wearing Trump [gear] has to go right now.”
“Ooohhhhhhh,” several members of the Trump crowd began to yell in response. “Free speech, free speech!”
“I’m sorry guys,” the guard says before adding, “I have to call LPD now.”
“That’s fine,” one of the Trump supporters said in response.

Local Villages-News reported on the incident:
When the Trumpers refused to leave the parking lot, a Leesburg police captain was called by mall security to eject the them from mall property. He advised the Trump backers that they were on private property and would have to move to the sidewalk. The protesters grudgingly obeyed.”
The 44-year-old Republican Florida governor has long been centered as Trump’s most deadly potential challenger in the upcoming 2024 race, as many of the scandal-ridden ex-president’s staunchest supporters and biggest donors turn their attention to DeSantis amid Trump’s neverending legal peril. However, recent polling indicated that Ron may not be as close to dethroning Trump as we originally thought, as Donald still maintains a whopping 30-point lead over the ultra-Right governor in the hypothetical 2024 presidential race, among a pool of several potential Republican candidates.
