President Donald Trump is now going after CBS host Gayle King. On Monday, he posted on Truth Social saying she has “no talent” and that her “career is over.” He accused her of walking away from supporting him, writing, “She never had the courage to do so. No talent, no ratings, no strength.”

He also shared a link to a New York Post article that says King’s future at CBS is uncertain. The article blamed low ratings and said the morning show had gone too “woke.” King has been co-host of CBS Mornings since 2012 and is one of the network’s highest-paid anchors.

Trump’s attack on King comes just days after CBS canceled Stephen Colbert’s Late Show. Trump celebrated that move and hinted he had something to do with it.

Last week, he wrote that “everybody” thinks he was “solely responsible” for the show’s end, but then claimed that wasn’t true. He blamed the cancellation on “$50 million dollars a year in losses” and called Colbert’s show a failure due to “a pure lack of TALENT.”

In that same post, Trump also took aim at Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. He called Kimmel “even less talented” and described Fallon as “weak, and very insecure.”

Trump has been in a long fight with CBS and its parent company, Paramount. Earlier this year, he sued them for $10 billion over a 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris. Trump claimed it was edited in a way that misled voters before the 2024 election.

Legal experts said Trump had a weak case, but Paramount settled anyway. In May, they agreed to pay him $16 million. That deal came just as the company was trying to finalize a major merger with Skydance Media.

As part of the merger deal, Paramount also agreed to stop enforcing certain diversity policies. They told Trump’s FCC they would include more conservative voices in their news programming. After that, Trump’s administration gave the green light for the merger to move forward.

Trump is now turning his attention back to King.

The article he linked to says CBS executives are unsure whether to keep her at the network. It says she’s one of the last big names left and blames her for sticking with what it calls a “left-wing” culture.

“CBS faces a growing dilemma over the future of mega-buck anchor Gayle King,” the report said, “as ratings for her ‘woke’ morning show collapse.”

Trump clearly agrees. And he seems happy to see CBS struggle.
