Donald Trump is mad at the New York Times again.

After several days of attention being paid to CBS News’ 60 Minutes, and its decision to spike a report about the prison in El Salvador to which the Trump Administration has been sending prisoners, President Donald Trump overnight took a shot at another longtime media enemy, the New York Times.

In the Truth Social post, which went up at 12:32 a.m., Trump uses several of his favorite insults to put down the Times.

“The Failing New York Times, and their lies and purposeful misrepresentations, is a serious threat to the National Security of our Nation. Their Radical Left, Unhinged Behavior, writing FAKE Articles and Opinions in a never ending way, must be dealt with and stopped. THEY ARE A TRUE ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE! Thank you for you attention to this matter. PRESIDENT DJT.”

It’s not clear exactly what, in this instance, the Times did to upset Trump, or what he means in stating that a newspaper, covered by the First Amendment, “must be dealt with and stopped.”

Per Mediaite, Trump may be referring to a story, published several days earlier, in which the Times explored the history of Trump’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein, or perhaps some of the prior reporting about Trump’s health.

Earlier in the month, Trump had ripped the Times for what he called ““seditious, perhaps even treasonous” actions, after it published a report in late November about Trump aging in office.

“After all of the work I have done with Medical Exams, Cognitive Exams, and everything else, I actually believe it’s seditious, perhaps even treasonous, for The New York Times, and others, to consistently do FAKE reports in order to libel and demean ‘THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES.’ They are true Enemies of the People, and we should do something about it,” Trump had written on Truth Social on December 10.

Trump does seem especially bothered by questions about his health. The Times also reported, in recent days, on the behind-the-scenes at 60 Minutes, after they spiked the El Salvador prison story hours before it was set to air. But Trump did not say anything about that coverage specifically.
