Trump Tells Radio Talk Show That His Teen Son Barron Gives Him Political Advice: “Dad, This Is What You Have To Do”

I can't say that I'm surprised.

Barron Trump has finally turned 18 and it seems that his most recent birthday served as somewhat of a greenlight for his father to start talking about him in public — something that Donald’s wife, Barron’s mother, Melania has been notoriously strict about throughout her husband’s presidential term.

Donald and Melania’s only son together was just 10 years old when his father catapulted into the public spotlight, took over the White House, and effectively destroyed the country in 2016. Over the years, multiple reports have confirmed that Melania is deeply protective of her only child and worked diligently to ensure that Barron remained as largely out of the limelight as possible to preserve his private life the best she could.

However, Barron Trump isn’t a child anymore and will soon be carving out his own path in the world while navigating his father’s political notoriety — and, according to Donald, the youngest Trump spawn already has a key interest in politics.

The former president called into Philadelphia’s Talk Radio 1210 WPHT this week, where he discussed his youngest child with the Kayal and Company hosts and admitted that Barron often tries to give his dad political advice:

He’s a smart one…he’s a great guy.

He’s a little on the tall side. I will tell you, he’s a tall one, but he is a good-looking guy. And he’s really been a great student. And he does like politics. It’s sort of funny. He’ll tell me sometimes, ‘Dad, this is what you have to do.’

So, anyway, he’s a good guy. He’s a senior now in high school, and he’ll be going to college. And you know, a lot of, a lot of these choices of colleges are changing because you see what’s going on in the last month.

Frankly, it comes as no real surprise to us that Donald Trump is getting political advice from a literal teenager — because it shows.

This week, headlines were rocked with what we thought would be Barron Trump’s official debut into the political scene when it was announced that he was chosen, among his half-brothers and sister Tiffany, to serve as an RNC delegate for his father. However, that news was extremely short-lived when Melania’s office released a firm statement, revealing that the youngest Trump son had to “decline” the invitation due to prior commitments — a move that many believe was orchestrated by Barron’s mother.
