Yesterday afternoon, scandal-plagued former President Trump used his lunch break during his ongoing Manhattan criminal Hush Money trial to crank out an absolute barrage of bizarre, deeply unhinged posts on his Truth Social platform that consisted almost entirely of quotes from other people attacking the prosecution in his felony case.
In a matter of just one hour, during the lunch break in yesterday’s leg of the Manhattan Hush Money trial, the ex-president hammered out a whopping 14 Truth Social posts, with only one of those posts featuring a very brief comment in his own words. The remainder of the posts were all quotes from other individuals.
Donald’s first lunch break Truth Social post consisted of a quote from Fox News’ Gregg Jarrett, in which he wrote, “Is District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s case a joke? A prank? A farce?…It’s all of the above…It’s also an abominable abuse of our justice system and a wretched assault on the rule of law.”
Trump followed this up with a quote from conservative attorney Jonathan Turley complaining, “This case is becoming legally obscene…Defense doing well, have been all along.”

Turley’s quotes made a repeat appearance throughout Donald’s hour-long lunch break breakdown.
Donald went on to include a quote from Matt Whitaker, who sat in the Trump Administration Attorney General seat for all of a hot second during Trump’s term, with Trump writing in Whitaker’s words, “Case is undermining the Rule of Law and the Faith of Americans in the Justice System. New York Attorneys or Judges should be concerned with long term effects this has on the Courts in New York and Nationwide.”
The former guy even included a surprise appearance from NBC’s Laura Jarrett, among all of the staunchly Right-wing Conservatives and Republican lawmakers, quoting, “With case winding down, it’s hard to know if anyone actually understands the actual crime that’s being alleged here,” after which Trump added his own little flair, writing, “THERE IS NONE!”
As the court’s lunch hour came to an end, Trump’s diatribe concluded with another quote from Fox’s Garrett, writing, “This case is a partisan ‘witch hunt’ —a trial in search of an imaginary crime. It can’t be found because it doesn’t exist. It’s not a criminal offense to conceal a legal act. You can’t unlawfully influence an election after the election. The prosecution’s legal theory makes no sense. The case against Trump has been on life support since the moment DA Alvin Bragg engineered the indictment. A fair and competent judge would have long ago ordered the DA to pull the plug on his brain-dead case.”
Donald Trump is, of course, subject to a stringent gag order in this case, after repeatedly attacking not only the prosecution and the judge but also Judge Merchan’s family — particularly his daughter.
It seems that the former guy is now trying to work in his unhinged attacks via the words of others as the gag order has already cost him thousands and now puts him at risk of jail time.
