Trump Was Allegedly So Desperate To Ruin Biden’s Infrastructure Bill, He Called GOP Rep. Begging Him To Oppose It; Rep. Said Trump Needs To “Shut Up”

Buddy, this is beyond pathetic.

According to a recent report from the Washington Post, Trump’s desperation to kill President Biden’s infrastructure bill reached a pathetic fever that resulted in the one-term, twice-impeached, disgraced former guy calling up Alaska GOP Rep. Don Young and essentially begging him to oppose the plan and help him put a stop to the President’s funding bill.

But, apparently, it didn’t go so well for him.

It’s no real secret that Trump spent pretty much his entire presidency trying to leave an infrastructure legacy in his name, and even Democrats were supportive in their desperation to see some of the funding this nation so desperately needed. However, Donald’s “infrastructure week” efforts went so infamously terrible that it just devolved into one of the numerous punchlines of Trump’s overall disastrous presidency. Hell, even President Biden recently got a quip in about it.

All in all, Donald Trump was never successful in his infrastructure efforts — which, I’m sure, made him even more determined to try to make Biden’s fail by any means possible. God knows his ego can’t tolerate the idea of President Biden being better than him.

According to the WaPo report, Trump’s desperation rose and rose in unison with Biden’s success, as the former guy began to beg and plead with his Republican allies to help him kill the President’s efforts before they were officially successful. All this really accomplished was opening an avenue for Democrats to accuse Trump of wanting the country to fail.

It seems Donnie’s despair reached a fever pitch that resulted in him calling up Rep. Don Young on the phone and pleading with him to help make it stop.

“Rep. Don Young knew the call would not end well, as the Alaska Republican forcefully rejected Donald Trump’s plea to oppose the more than $1 trillion infrastructure legislation,” the Post report reads. “How did the former president take the news?”

“Not well,” Young reportedly told the publication. “I think his policy is just so good. Just shut up — that’s all he has to do. He’s not going to. I know that.”

All in all, only 13 Republicans supported the President’s infrastructure bill, but it was enough to allow the $1 trillion funding bill to pass — and you best believe Trump has made it personal with the 13 GOPers who did dare to support his replacement.

At this point, it’s absolutely clear that there is no limit to the pathetic lows Donald Trump will sink to. I’m just glad to hear that there are at least a few left out there who are still willing to tell him to shut the hell up.
