Trump Was Asked About Harvey Weinstein, Claimed He Didn’t Like Him, But “Michelle Obama Loved Him”

This is an incredible pivot.

President IMAX’s obsession with his predecessor is nothing new, and his jealous rage dates back years. Donald Trump’s wife once plagiarized Mrs. Obama’s speech, and she shares the birther conspiracy theory that her husband unleashed.

A perfect example of Trump’s skills of projection was when he was asked during a presser in India about Harvey Weinstein’s verdict, the film producer who is now a convicted rapist. Trump did what Trump does best and tried to distance himself from Weinstein and said he doesn’t really watch the news, and then shifted to former First Lady Michelle Obama and his favorite target, Hillary Clinton.

Trump said he was “never a fan” of Harvey Weinstein and told reporters that Democrats should return any campaign money that they received from him.

“I was never a fan of Harvey Weinstein,” Trump told reporters in India. “I was just not a fan of his. I knew him a little bit. The people that liked him were the Democrats. Michelle Obama loved him. Hillary Clinton loved him.”

Watch:

Trump and the Third Lady, though, have been seen in photos with Les Parnas Harvey Weinstein.

Trump has a lot in common with the convicted rapist, though. More than 20 women have come forward to accuse the former reality show star of sexual harassment, assault, and other crimes. Trump admitted in the Hollywood Access tape that he just grabs women “by the pussy” without consent.

“I’m automatically attracted to beautiful women — I just start kissing them, it’s like a magnet,” he said at the time. “Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the pussy.”

When that tape surfaced, Trump’s Republican enablers blew it off as “locker room talk.” That wasn’t Democrats, Mrs. Obama, or Mrs. Clinton defending his remarks. That was the Republican party.

Weinstein was forced out of his own company and was shunned by his former friends, but Trump is still the president of the United States.
