Amid all of his own endless controversy, scandal, and legal peril, disgraced former President Donald Trump has launched yet another smear campaign against sitting US president and likely 2024 rival (provided Trump is able to secure the Republican nomination) Joe Biden, in which he’s attempting to convince the American people that life in the United States has gotten far worse under the Biden Administration and that the country is in far more detrimental shape than it was during his tumultuous 4-year term in office. However, Forbes was quick to sink its teeth into the former guy’s new 2024 ad campaign and wasted no time in pointing out to everyone that the two most prominent photos used in the Trump ad meant to smear President Biden actually hail from Donald’s own presidential administration.
The new Forbes report takes particular interest in two images used in the new Trump ad/smear campaign — one of which depicts a cop car engulfed in flames in Chicago hailing from May 30th, 2020, the other showing migrants wading through knee-deep water, with a caption reading, “Central American migrants cross the Suchiate River from Mexico to Guatemala, near Tecun Uman, Guatemala, Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020.” The caption itself indicates that the migrants featured in the heartbreaking photo weren’t even traveling north to the United States.
But even more of interest here is the fact that BOTH of these images come from a time when Donald Trump was still in office.
Forbes’ Matt Novak reports, “Donald Trump started a new ad campaign on Facebook last week that insists the U.S. is doing worse under President Joe Biden. The Facebook ads even include photos trying to suggest the chaos we see in those images is a direct result of Biden’s policies. The only problem? The two most prominent photos in the ad are from Trump’s time at the White House.”

“The U.S. presidential election is still a year and a half away, but both Joe Biden and Donald Trump are already running ads. The GOP is even running ads made completely with artificial intelligence. And if Trump’s current tactics are any indication, he’s going to keep lying as we get closer to election day,” Novak goes on to add.
President Biden finally officially launched his 2024 presidential campaign last month, a few months after Trump made his big but entirely expected yet not-so-well-received announcement from his Mar-a-Lago compound. This means that should Trump officially secure the Republican nomination, we’re in for a repeat of the infamous 2020 presidential election.
