Trump Went On Flurry Of Unhinged Social Media Attacks Ahead Of His Meeting With Zelensky

Not a good sign for peace

All eyes are on Washington today as Donald Trump prepares for one of the biggest White House meetings of his presidency. The guest list is heavy. Volodymyr Zelensky is flying in. So is Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron, Ursula von der Leyen, Friedrich Merz, Giorgia Meloni, and more. The stage is set for a showdown over the future of the Russia-Ukraine war.

But before the leaders even land, Trump has already made the story about himself. Overnight, he unleashed a flurry of angry Truth Social posts aimed at what he called “fake news” and “stupid critics.” The Wall Street Journal triggered him by saying he “rolled out the red carpet” for Vladimir Putin after last week’s Alaska summit, which ended without progress on a ceasefire.

Trump didn’t take it lightly.

“I’ve settled 6 Wars in 6 months, one of them a possible Nuclear disaster, and yet I have to read & listen to the Wall Street Journal… tell me everything that I am doing wrong on the Russia/Ukraine MESS,” he fumed.

“They are STUPID people, with no common sense, intelligence, or understanding… Despite all of my lightweight and very jealous critics, I’ll get it done — I always do!!!”

This morning, Trump doubled down, calling the meeting with European leaders a “great honor for America.” He also fired a cryptic shot at Zelensky, writing: “President Zelenskyy of Ukraine can end the war with Russia almost immediately, if he wants to, or he can continue to fight.”

That line is sure to rattle Kyiv, especially after the last Oval Office encounter between Trump and Zelensky, which ended in disaster. Reports said Zelensky was “kicked out” after a shouting match that went nowhere.

The high-stakes talks come as Trump tries to prove he can secure a peace deal where Biden, NATO, and the EU failed. But his critics argue that his warm words for Putin and his attacks on allies only weaken his hand.

Still, Trump insists he knows better than the generals, diplomats, and experts. “I know exactly what I’m doing,” he wrote. “It would have NEVER happened if I was President.”
