Donald Trump’s age has been under scrutiny for months. But one strange detail from a Wall Street Journal report has people talking again.
A recent story noted that Trump’s physical signs of aging are becoming more visible to people close to him. One moment stood out above the rest: a high-five gone wrong.
According to the Journal, “Trump’s physical signs of aging are becoming more evident to some of his closest advisers. His skin is so delicate that Pam Bondi caused his hand to bleed when she nicked him with her ring while giving him a high-five at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.”
But the high-five wasn’t the only detail highlighted in the report. It also noted that Trump takes a high daily dose of aspirin, about 325 milligrams, a level far above what most doctors typically recommend. He explained that he’s “a little superstitious” about stopping.

Trump also tried wearing compression socks for swollen ankles, but he dropped them because he didn’t like them.
Trump’s own words about aging have sparked online discussion, too. He has admitted that the ring hit his hand and caused “a slight little cut.”
People have also noticed other signs.
Photos have shown dark bruises on Trump’s hands over the past year. The White House has said those bruises come from frequent handshakes and aspirin use.
At times, Trump has also been seen with his eyes closed or looking tired during public events, leading to questions about fatigue.
The Wall Street Journal report said aides sometimes have to raise their voices for Trump to hear clearly.
Trump pushes back hard against these concerns. He has denied that he struggles to hear or that he falls asleep in meetings.
He insists he is healthy and rejects suggestions that aging is affecting him.
Trump has even said the medical imaging he underwent last year gave his critics “a little ammunition.”
He long claimed it was an MRI scan that showed he was healthy, though some reports noted confusion about what type of imaging was done.
His physician, Navy Capt. Sean Barbabella, has defended him, calling Trump “in exceptional health.” A Mayo Clinic AI-assisted analysis shared by the White House suggested his heart’s age is about 65, well younger than his years.
