Trump’s Appearance At Kennedy Center Honors Raised Eyebrows: ‘ What Are They Hiding About His Health?’

The mystery grows every day

Questions about President Trump’s health continue to grow after weeks of public appearances where he has tried to hide bruising on his hands.

For months, the 79-year-old has been seen covering the back of his hands with makeup or shielding them from cameras. Over the past week, he has switched to large band aids.

People watching his cabinet meeting noticed two clear band aids on his right hand. He appeared with the same coverings at a weekend event, which made the marks hard to ignore.

On Sunday, journalist Aaron Rupar commented on the situation.

“Trump last night had the complexion of a Thanksgiving turkey that was left in the oven too long and bandages were again visible on the back of his right hand,” he wrote on X while sharing Getty Images taken by photographers Aaron Schwartz and Paul Morigi.

The same band aids appeared at the 2026 FIFA World Cup draw on Friday.
They were visible again on Sunday at the Kennedy Center Honorees event in the Oval Office, where the president handed out awards and his hands were in clear view.

Members of the public say they are worried because the bruising keeps returning.

Other people, including some media outlets, believe the situation suggests a different explanation. They have speculated that Trump may be receiving some kind of regular intravenous therapy, though his team continues to deny this.
When asked, aides have said the marks simply come from repeated handshakes.

Last Monday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said Trump recently had a “preventative” MRI as part of his routine check up. She insisted that the president’s health is still “excellent.”

Reporters later asked Trump what part of his body the MRI scanned.
He shrugged off the question and replied, “I have no idea.”

A source who spoke with AFP said that Trump becomes especially annoyed when reporters compare him to former President Joe Biden.
“He is sensitive to being compared, even if not explicitly, to Sleepy Joe,” the source said. “Especially if it’s coming from a reporter he already despises.”
