Old age seems to be catching up with President Donald Trump, or at least his memory.
At 12:38 a.m. on Sunday, Trump went on Truth Social and blamed Joe Biden for the Capitol riot that happened on January 6, 2021.
“THE BIDEN FBI PLACED 274 AGENTS INTO THE CROWD ON JANUARY 6,” he wrote in all caps. “If this is so, which it is, a lot of very good people will be owed big apologies. What a SCAM – DO SOMETHING!!! President DJT.”

There’s one small problem with Donald Trump’s latest claim. He was the president on that day. Joe Biden was still two weeks away from taking office.
Trump has been pushing the same idea for months. He says the FBI secretly planted agents in the crowd to start the chaos. His followers now call it the “fedsurrection.”
The FBI has strongly denied the claim. Officials said no agents or informants helped cause the riot. They said agents were sent only after violence broke out to help police regain control.
On January 6, 2021, Trump stood before a large crowd near the White House and told them, “We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.”
Soon after, hundreds of his supporters marched toward the Capitol. They broke windows, attacked police, and tried to stop the certification of Biden’s victory.
Several people died, and more than 150 officers were injured.
Trump waited for hours before asking the mob to go home. When he finally spoke, he told them, “We love you. You’re very special.” That day became one of the darkest moments in American history.
In another post last month, he repeated the same story. He wrote that the FBI “secretly placed, against all Rules, Regulations, Protocols, and Standards, 274 FBI Agents into the Crowd just prior to, and during, the January 6th Hoax.”
Now, he has added Biden’s name to the same story, turning the timeline completely upside down.
Back in 2021, Trump had spent weeks pressuring state officials to change the results of the election. He even called Georgia’s secretary of state and asked him to “find” 11,780 votes, just one more than he lost by.
The Justice Department later charged him with trying to overturn the election, but those charges disappeared after his 2024 victory.
