Trump’s Entire Brand Is Now “Synonymous With Fraud And Failure”: Columnist

It's all falling apart now.

Ever since the mere notion of making it into the United States presidency crossed through his pea brain and out of his mouth, Donald Trump has campaigned on the claim that he can do things for this country that no one else can, because he’s not a politician, he’s a successful “businessman.” But Donald and his business were just dealt a $450 million blow this week that’s proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that Trump’s New York business empire was not built through hard work and success, but rather “fraud and failure” that’s all crumbling right before his eyes now — along with his already faltering reputation.

If you ask a lot of Trump voters why they’ve voted for him, you will often get the tired-out speech about how they know Donald is “crude” and an “asshole,” but they believe him to be a business genius, and that somehow makes up for his faults. But now one columnist is pointing out that this excuse will no longer work for Trump and his base, because his entire brand has now become “synonymous with fraud and failure” thanks to the massive, multi-million dollar judgment lodged against him by Judge Arthur Engoron in New York Attorney General Letitia James’ civil fraud suit against Trump and his family company, the Trump Organization.

Sidney Blumenthal with The Guardian — who once served as a senior advisor to President Bill Clinton — penned a column today, in which he pointed out that despite Donald’s father, Fred Trump’s, trust in his son when he handed over his sprawling New York real estate portfolio and the family name brand to Donald, his son has been “steering the family legacy on to the rocks.”

“Judge Arthur Engoron’s ruling on Friday concludes the nearly century-long history of the Trump Organization in New York in disgrace and ruin,” Blumenthal wrote. “The Trump brand is now adjudicated to be synonymous with fraud and failure.”

There’s nothing left of his “brand” and he was never a “business genius.” He’s just an asshole and has been all along.
