Donald Trump and Tucker Carlson used to be close. Carlson even spoke on Trump’s behalf at the 2024 Republican National Convention. But now, because of their disagreements over the Iran War and other issues, Carlson has fully turned against the president.
According to HuffPost, Carlson called for Trump to be removed from office this week, “immediately,” in the event that Trump considered using nuclear weapons.
“The second any president actively considers first-use of nuclear weapons. that person should be removed from office immediately. Immediately, because that’s gotta be the red line, destroying all of humanity with a nuclear strike,” Carlson said on his show this week. “So why isn’t there an attempt to remove him from office, like, immediately?”

“That person is by definition a lunatic, a dangerous lunatic, who should not only be removed from any decision-making authority, but probably should go to jail, like, immediately, especially in a country that routinely puts people in jail for, I don’t know, tax evasion,” Carlson added on the show.
Could Carlson run for president himself? That has been rumored from time to time, especially after Carlson announced the formation of a new “movement,” along with Kent and apostate Republican politicians Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie. However, Greene said not long after their recent meeting that Carlson was not going to mount a presidential campaign.
