Donald Trump and his allies have always leaned heavily into guilt and emotional blackmail in their fundraising emails. But one this week appears to have crossed lines not previously crossed.

As noted by Meidas Touch, one email earlier this week “goes well beyond inflammatory rhetoric and into something far more coercive.”

The email, labeled both a “Message From Trump” and “Memo from Trump,” is labeled a “citizens-only survey,” and states, “Your file says you’re a top MAGA patriot, but I’m starting to wonder if that was true after all. I cannot think of any reason you wouldn’t have responded, unless… YOU’RE AN ILLEGAL ALIEN.”

A separate email, reported on by Meidas Touch on Wednesday, asks the recipients, “Are you a proud American citizen or does ICE need to come and track you down?” The subject of the email is “Are you an illegal alien?”

Social media users had some shocked reactions to the email.
