On Wednesday night, after the killing of Charlie Kirk in Utah, President Donald Trump delivered a White House address memorializing the conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA.

“Radical left political violence has hurt too many innocent people and taken too many lives. Tonight, I ask all Americans to commit themselves to the American values for which Charlie Kirk lived and died,” Trump said in the address, even though no shooter has been identified and the motivation behind the killing remains unknown.

The president also threatened to go after those who “contributed to this atrocity and to other political violence, including the organizations that fund it and support it, as well as those who go after our judges, law enforcement officials, and everyone else who brings order to our country.”

However, soon after the video was posted, some chatter online indicated that there was something off about how it looked, and that artificial intelligence may have been used in the production of the video.

Matt Binder, a journalist and podcaster, added that “I’m not saying it is an AI video. I said it looks like one. it feels very uncanny valley but it could be the weird coloring they put on the video too,” adding that he believes the White House likely “enhanced” a real video of Trump.
