Former President and 2024 Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump got a rather brutal taste of his own medicine when his MAGA base of supporters turned on him following a new post on his own Truth Social platform.
Missouri’s Lieutenant Governor Mike Kehoe just won the state’s Republican gubernatorial primary, with the New York Times reporting that Kehoe “is likely to become Missouri’s next governor.”
Following the Missouri Republican’s primary victory, Donald Trump took to Truth Social to brag about the win, and the fact that he had endorsed Kehoe, once again attempting to center himself as the Republican party’s proverbial kingmaker.
However, the former president quickly came to find that his own supporters, on his own hand-tailored social media platform, were less than receptive to the endorsement or the victory.

Trump posted an edited image of himself and Kehoe to Truth Social late last night, with text over the image reading, “Mike Kehoe wins! Endorsed by President Trump.”
However, the less-than-humble brag didn’t land well with Donald’s own base.
Mark Hammer called it a “bad choice” by the former president.
Another Truth Social user said, “It should’ve been Bill Eigel. Missouri really dropped the ball tonight.”
The @midwestgigi account wrote, “Booooo!” before going on to also add that Eigel was “a much better choice.”
Kristy Prater, @kprater, a self-identified “God-fearing, Conservative Christian,” echoed a similar sentiment, writing, “Mike Kehoe is a RINO that true Missourians did NOT want!”
“Do your research or keep your mouth shut!” Prater added.
Deb, @debsplace, went so far as to fume: “Missouri is SO disappointed in you, @realDonaldTrump. I pray Bill Eigel will ask for an audit, because why would anyone want a paid for liar who rides around in a green and blue bus, paid for by a Chinese company, and voted to sell our land 3 times to foreign countries, took money from the Gates family, and wants amnesty for illegals? Apparently, you, since you endorsed him. What has happened to you?”
In fact, Trump’s comments section was rife with “disappointed” MAGA Republicans calling Kehoe a “RINO” (Republican in name only) and chastizing the former president for endorsing him over his Right-wing opponent, Bill Eigel.
