Scandal-ridden ex-President Donald Trump has seemingly kicked off his week in a full-blow, panic-fueled, and very public social media mental meltdown, as the legal peril, scandals, investigations, probes, and lawsuits reach a catastrophic fever pitch all around him.
It’s only Tuesday, and already Trump has taken to his struggling Truth Social platform with deranged rants against the various law enforcement officials and prosecutors who are involved in the ongoing, catastrophic investigations against him, as well as one particular Truth Social post that appeared to be a blatant and public confession to the Mar-a-Lago stolen classified government documents scandal.
But he didn’t stop there.
The corrupt former president eventually turned his attention to one of the most pressing matters these days — the Department of Justice’s decision to appoint a Special Counsel to their investigation of Donald Trump.

Recently, the bombshell news broke that the US Department of Justice, headed by Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland, has “appointed a special counsel to oversee the criminal investigations into the retention of national defense information at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort and parts of the January 6, 2021, insurrection,” per reporting on the matter from CNN.
Scandal-ridden ex-President Donald Trump immediately did not take well to the news. In the direct aftermath of the DOJ announcement, Trump held a makeshift press conference at his Mar-a-Lago country club turned post-White House personal residence — where he donned a literal tuxedo, complete with the black bowtie and all — and delivered a resoundingly dramatic speech/statement on what he called “the never ending Witch Hunt.”
In the direct aftermath of the Special Counsel development, Trump began to launch nasty, incessant attacks against not only Special Counsel Jack Smith himself, but also Smith’s wife, after he discovered that Katy Chevigny is actually a very prominent Democratic donor who was personally involved in the making of a documentary on former first lady Michelle Obama.
But the attacks aren’t working to staunch even an ounce of Trump’s proverbial bleeding and the panic is officially kicking into high gear for the former guy, leaving him to go for the throat of anyone within striking distance, no matter how unreasonable — which is now, apparently, Jack Smith’s sister-in-law.
It seems some Right-wing blowhard or another made a social media post about Smith’s sister-in-law, who is allegedly a psychologist, claiming that her patients were “crying” and “sobbing” over Trump’s 2016 election.
Trump caught wind of this claim and took to his struggling social media platform with this:
And I’m supposed to get a fair shake from this person, who’s under tremendous pressure from his family, but he is actually worse than they are? Can Republicans, and fair-minded people, generally, allow this to happen? Jack Smith is nothing less than a hit man for Obama, his Attorney General Eric Holder, and Andrew Weissmann. Weaponization. Our Country is in big trouble, a real mess!”
It’s undeniable at this point — Trump is terrified.
