Trump’s Schedule For Today Is A Blinking Red Warning Sign

The president once again did not answer questions from the press about the latest Jeffrey Epstein revelations.

The last week has featured a series of revelations about Jeffrey Epstein, gleaned from a cache of his emails that were released from his estate, after calls from Democrats on the House Oversight Committee.

And as pointed out by The Daily Beast, the president has once again not spoken to the press about any of the stories. This included the president not responding to questions from reporters after a ceremony marking the end of the government shutdown.

“Donald Trump is avoiding questions about convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein for a third consecutive day, clearing his White House schedule of public engagements before escaping to Florida for the weekend,” The Beast reported.

Several of the new emails mention Trump by name, including a note from Epstein that Trump “knew about the girls,” and Epstein stating that a victim had spent hours with Trump at his house.

The emails have not uncovered smoking-gun proof of any illegal behavior by Trump, but his name continually surfacing in Epstein-related stories is certainly embarrassing for the president.

“Days after bombshell emails revealed the president may have known more about Epstein’s conduct than he has acknowledged, Trump—who is never shy of TV cameras—has refused to be grilled about the matter.”

The president has instead taken to social media, attempting to create a narrative that everyone associated with Epstein was a Democrat.

Trump, therefore, has directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to appoint a prosecutor to investigate Democrats’ ties to Epstein, in the sort of thing that would be a massive scandal in any other administration. It also goes against the Justice Department’s previous declaration that there was nothing left to investigate in the Epstein matter.

The Beast added that “insiders admit they are bracing for impact next week, when a significant number of Republicans are set to break ranks with Trump to support a bipartisan bill calling for the Justice Department to release the Epstein files.”
