The Trump Administration has had trouble finding a surgeon general. Last month, the White House withdrew the nomination of MAHA influencer Casey Means and instead nominated Dr. Nicole B. Saphier, a former Fox News contributor, for the position. A different Fox contributor, Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, was the first nominee for Trump’s second term.
“Nicole is a STAR physician who has spent her career guiding women facing breast cancer through their diagnosis and treatment while tirelessly advocating to increase early cancer detection and prevention, while at the same time working with men and women on all other forms of cancer diagnoses and treatments,” the president said in announcing the nomination, Fox News reported.
Now, CNN has reported that Saphier deleted some social media posts critical of the health policies of both President Trump and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
“Just two months before she was selected as President Donald Trump’s nominee for surgeon general, Dr. Nicole Saphier suggested the administration was hiding that measles was spreading widely enough in the United States for the country to lose its ‘elimination’ status until after the midterm elections,” CNN reported. Most of the messages have been posted in the last two years, during Trump’s second presidency.

“Deleted social media posts reviewed by CNN’s KFile show the then-Fox News medical contributor repeatedly broke publicly with Trump and US Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. on some of the administration’s most politically sensitive health issues, including vaccines and autism. She also raised questions surrounding Trump’s own health,” CNN reported.
Saphier, who has long been a vocal Trump supporter, had recently set her X account to private, but CNN’s KFile team found it via the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine.
The nominee had slammed Trump and Elon Musk as “petty, loud, & obnoxious” at the time when the two were feuding. She was also critical of the Trump/Kennedy position that there is a causal connection between Tylenol use and autism. She also questioned why Trump had an MRI last fall.
“Lots of people questioning POTUS MRI — I have questions too,” she said in a since-deleted post, before pivoting to MAHA talking points. “It’s hard to take some of these people seriously as they failed to have questions on Covid natural immunity, vaccines, masking, shutdowns and the fact Biden couldn’t string together a coherent sentence at times.”
