National Economic Council Director Larry Kudlow, who was totally drunkers during an interview earlier this month, was somehow added to the Trump administration’s coronavirus task force, Vice President Mike Pence’s office announced Thursday. Kudlow tried on Tuesday to soothe concerns over the coronavirus and its impact on the U.S. economy while the Dow continues to tumble for the seventh straight day. Equities are on track for their worst week since the financial crisis in 2008, CNN reports.

Donald Trump has repeatedly touted the Stock Market as an example of his “booming economy” but his administration is trying to downplay that now.

Kudlow told Fox Business host Stuart Varney on Friday that supply chain problems are “not yet surfacing” and real-time numbers are “holding up nicely.”

“The president acted early, making smart moves, travel bans, quarantines where necessary, convening meetings here in the White House twice a day for many, many weeks, an extended task force,” Kudlow insisted.

As Kudlow was speaking, the chyron showed the markets tumbling — and sorry, dude, but it was your president who tied the Stock Market to the economy. There are no take-backsies, Mr. Man.

Social media users piled in.

The Dow plunging is bad, but even worse, some people have had to hold down two jobs to make ends meet with wages remaining stagnant. Meanwhile, acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney said on Friday that a new round of tax cuts would be a top priority for Trump if he gets reelected. What a great ad that would make — for Democrats.
