Former President Donald Trump, who lost handily to Joe Biden in both the electoral and popular vote, launched a rant in a statement on Thursday to criticize the U.S. women’s soccer team for not winning the gold medal. Trump knows a lot about losing; after all, he has literally bankrupted casinos. The U.S. women’s soccer team is a familiar target of the twice-impeached one-term president since, in 2019, Megan Rapinoe was asked if she was excited about going to the White House if the team won. In response, she said ahead of the tournament, “I’m not going to the f—ing White House.” Trump has a penchant for holding grudges.
“If our soccer team, headed by a radical group of Leftist Maniacs, wasn’t woke, they would have won the Gold medal instead of the Bronze,” Trump said in his statement.
“Woke means you lose, everything that is woke goes bad, and our soccer team certainly has,” he continued. “There were, however, a few patriots standing. Unfortunately, they need more help than that respecting our Country and National Anthem. They should replace the wokesters with Patriots and start winning again. The woman with the purple hair played terribly and spends too much time thinking about Radical Left politics and not doing her job!”

The U.S. women’s soccer team took third place and the bronze medal in Tokyo after defeating Australia 4-3 on Thursday. We’ve never had a president that became giddy at the thought of a U.S. team failing to bring home a gold medal.
