While seated at the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office on Thursday, Donald Trump appeared to struggle to stay alert as cameras rolled.

The president was surrounded by doctors, military veterans, and senior officials while signing a bill that reclassified marijuana and expanded research into its medical use.

At first, it was barely noticeable. A slow blink. A slight tilt of the head. Then his mouth drooped, eyes half-closed, before he jerked upright, as if realizing he had drifted off. The camera stayed on him, and viewers quickly noticed.

In recent months, Trump has been filmed appearing disengaged at a military parade, a Cabinet meeting, a tennis match, and even during a high-profile international appearance. Each time, supporters brushed it off, while critics pointed to a pattern.

Trump, however, has made it clear he dislikes this line of discussion. He has repeatedly pushed back against any talk about his age, stamina, or focus, often lashing out at reporters who bring it up. In his view, the media is unfair and obsessed with appearances.
