Video Showed Trump Met With Painfully Awkward Silence From GOP Crowd After Complaining About Being The Most “Persecuted” Person In US History

Scandal-ridden ex-President Donald Trump was met with some of the most awkward silence we’ve ever witnessed from his own “people,” after he stood before a crowd of Republicans at the Turning Point USA Student Action Summit in Tampa, Florida, recently and complained about how no one in American history has been as “persecuted” as he has.

“A friend of mine once said that I was the most persecuted person in the history of our country,” the one-term, twice-impeached former president whined to the crowd. “I never thought of it that way. I never had time. I was always fighting these people that were trying to persecute me.”

“I didn’t have time to think about getting persecuted because I was fighting persecution,” he doubled down, going on to further add, “Certainly, there’s been no politician or president treated like I’ve been treated.”

Donnie’s whiney complaints came hot on the heels of an introductory video montage to the tune of “God Bless the USA” by Lee Greenwood. Fire quite literally shot out of the stage as the washed-up former guy made his big entrance. The crowd hooted and cheered as Trump tossed out “TRUMP WAS RIGHT” hats as he made his way onto the stage.

Donald Trump is, of course, the subject of numerous investigations right now — including the Manhattan District Attorney’s office, New York Attorney General Letitia James’ office, and the notorious, mounting investigation by the January 6th House Select Committee into his incitement of the violent January 6th Capitol attack and his attempted coup regarding the 2020 presidential election.
