Donald Trump is wrong about a lot of things, but one jaw-dropping remark he said at a campaign stop in 2016 seems to be accurate, unfortunately. “You know what else they say about my people?” the former reality show star said at the time. “The polls, they say I have the most loyal people. Did you ever see that? Where I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose any voters, okay? It’s, like, incredible.”
Well, a newly released Monmouth University poll shows that 62% of people who approve of the job Donald Trump is doing as “president” say they can’t think of anything he could do that would cause him to lose their support.
CNN’s New Day featured Pennsylvania panelists on Wednesday from a swing district that anchor Alisyn Camerota moderated. We can only assume that two of the women featured must have participated in the aforementioned poll after they were asked what “president” Donald Trump could do to lose their vote.
The panelists consisted of women who had switched from voting Republican to Democrat or vice versa in previous elections in the swing district.

Crystal, a staunch Trump supporter, was asked if there “Is there anything he could do that would make you not vote for him?”
“No,” Crystal replied.
Camerota then cited the Fifth Avenue Trump quote we noted above. “If he shot someone on 5th avenue, would you vote for him?” the host asked.
That’s when another panelist who was not identified, jumped in to say: “You’d have to know why he shot him.”
Instead of being taken aback, Crystal agreed, saying, “Yeah, why did he shoot him?”

We’re sure that Crystal and her fellow panelists don’t think they’re part of a cult, but neither did Jim Jones’s followers, and he did go on to actually kill people. It would be nice if we had a “president” who did not make controversial remarks like that, but he has a point. His supporters would eat a shit sandwich if their “president” offered them one, and their response would be, “Yummy, may I have another, please, sir?”
