Look, there are a whole lot of crappy things going on in the world right now. Inflation is beating us down. Gas and groceries prices are astronomical (though, slowly beginning to improve.) We are still in the midst of an ongoing deadly pandemic. And Donald Trump continues to lurk around every corner, threatening to successfully worm his way back into the White House, as his Republican jockeys continue to dismantle our nation from the inside out, from their congressional seats.
Suffice it to say, it gets hard to find the joy in things sometimes. But every once in a while, the universe smiles on us and gives us something as golden as this right here.
Republicans in Congress are squirming right now, as their elections are rapidly approaching, their only chance for the next two years to take back the House and the Senate from their Democratic opponents, and frankly, a good majority of neither the polls nor the odds have been in their favor. Leading the GOPers to engage in some pretty damn desperate, pathetic tactics to garner some attention and some votes.
In fact, none other than Florida Trump sycophant and Republican House Rep. Matt Gaetz has apparently gotten so desperate that he’s taken to the streets. Literally.
Popular Twitter user and former federal prosecutor, Ron Filipkowski, took to his social media platform this week with a hilarious clip of the Republican House Rep. out and about in the streets of his Florida district, doing some good old-fashioned campaigning.

In the clip, Gaetz (who’s currently riddled in his own pile of scandal related to his alleged sex trafficking of underage girls) can be standing on the side of the highway, holding up one of his campaign signs, giving all the people driving a big ole beauty pageant wave.
The mental image of that alone is pathetic enough, honestly. But it gets even more embarrassing for the washed-up, Trump-boot-licking congressman when you realize… Virtually no one is paying an ounce of attention to him.
