Controversial Republican Kentucky Senator and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell was greeted with brutally humiliating calls for his retirement during his appearance at his home state of Kentucky’s premier political event over the weekend, amid newly reignited scrutiny surrounding the 81-year-old lawmaker’s recent public health problems.
Mitch barely got a chance to even open his big speech at this weekend’s annual Fancy Farm Picnic in his home state, before he was met with loud boos and heckling from a large portion of the crowd — many of which were holding up signs in support of the state’s Democratic Governor Andy Beshear. As McConnell stood at the podium and shamelessly bashed teachers’ unions and accused Democrats of being soft on crime, the senator was pelted with chants and shouts of “Retire!” and “Lost the Senate!”

The 81-year-old Kentucky lawmaker and Senate Minority Leader has made a career out of the US Senate since 1984 and, despite multiple recent incidents surrounding his health, has given no indication that he’s really to step down.

In fact, Mitch has indicated quite the opposite, addressing the crowd at this weekend’s event: “For those of you who keep count, this is my 28th Fancy Farm,” adding that it “won’t be my last.”
Despite his desire to rip this country apart from the inside out until his dying breath, Mitch McConnell has suffered through multiple, serious health incidents this year that have indicated that may come sooner than later after all.
CNN recently reported that Mitch has suffered from serious falls “multiple times” this year, with one at a D.C. hotel that resulted in a concussion, broken ribs, and an extended hospital/rehabilitation stay.
Most recently, McConnell was seen suffering what many Americans believed was a stroke right in the middle of a press conference, when he suddenly fell silent and appeared very disoriented before being walked away from the stage by his staff and colleagues.
