On Monday, President Trump threatened to ban Canadian aircraft maker Bombardier from selling in the United States. Hours later, video surfaced of him returning from New Jersey, appearing to argue with a Marine One pilot before walking past a line of saluting Marines without returning the salute.
The footage was filmed at Morristown Municipal Airport as Trump transferred from Marine One to Air Force One, wrapping up a Labor Day weekend at his Bedminster golf club.
In the clip, he stands at the helicopter door gesturing toward the cockpit, pointing his finger repeatedly during what looks like a tense exchange with the pilot. Seconds later, he cuts the conversation short, heads down the stairs, and walks past two saluting Marines without returning the gesture.
An account called Call to Activism was among the first to push the clip out widely, describing Trump as “looking CHAOTIC and FRIED” as he stepped off the aircraft.
🚨 BREAKING: Trump steps off Marine One after raging against Canada, looking CHAOTIC and FRIED. He seems to snap at the pilot, forgets the traditional salute to the marines right in front of him, fumbles his jacket, and walks like a zombie.
Something is terribly off. Damn. pic.twitter.com/eb3UMHcidl

Imagine being those marines and how awkward it felt to hear loud rambling mad man running his mouth. I’d feel very awkward and disturbed

I seem to recall Republican heads exploding when Obama failed to salute a troop once while boarding AF1?

His marriage just went bankrupt. Melania is off to
splitsville and ready to cash-in. His worldwide rage is redlining. His disease will soon declare victory.— CanadianClub (@CanadianClub) September 8, 2026
He definitely looks pissed about something.
Maybe he doesn’t like his new dye job. Brunette to platinum blonde is a big change.

A body language expert took a closer look too, walking through the moment almost frame by frame.
Speaking to the Mirror US, Judi James broke down the sequence, noting that Trump “walks away from the helicopter looking moody and pre-occupied,” his shoulders dropped as he tried, unsuccessfully, to close a jacket that wouldn’t cooperate. Without visible facial expressions under his cap, she said, it was hard to fully read what the exchange with the pilot actually meant.
The day had already gotten off to a heated start before Trump ever reached the helicopter. He’d escalated tensions with Canada that same day, posting on Truth Social that Bombardier would face a ban on U.S. sales unless production moved stateside. “NO MORE SELLING BOMBARDIER IN THE UNITED STATES! Their products aren’t good enough!” he wrote, one of several threats aimed at Canada since trade talks between the two countries collapsed on August 21.
The White House hasn’t offered any comment on the Marine One clip. Notably, its own Rapid Response account posted separate footage from the same Monday arrival, showing Trump crossing the tarmac and boarding Air Force One, but conveniently skipping the helicopter-door moment entirely.
